Anecdote of Lord Rawdon. [From an English print]
. . . [13 lines introduction]
I, William King, the thurd year of my reign,--
Give to Paul Rawdon, Hope and Hope towne,
With all the bounds both up and down
From heaven to erth from erth to hell,
For thee and thine therein to dwell,
As truly as this King-right is myne,
For a cross bow and an arrowe
When I shall come to hunt on Yarrow,
And in token that thing is sooth
I bite the white wax with my toothe,
Before Meg, Maud, and Margery,
And my thurd son Henry.
